Building Membership
Welcome to the Membership Development track of Association World. In this section, we will highlight information available at the conference that will help you increase membership in your association.
You may also want to check out the Marketing and Communications track, which covers activities that help to serve and retain the members you have.
Rules For Alienating Members
For the third year, GinCommGroup President Ginger Nichols provided customer service training for the Association of Performing Arts Presenters staff. This year, we also conducted a customer satisfaction survey to provide a baseline against which to measure future satisfaction levels.
How is your staffs attitude toward serving members? Take at look at our Rules for Alienating Members.
Defining Potential Market Segments
Participants in a recent GinCommGroup workshop for the Association Forum of Chicagoland identified a variety of potential membership market segments in a brainstorming exercise. Visitors to Association World are invited to e-mail their suggestions to add to the list.
"15 Surefire Strategies To Build Membership"
One of the highlights of this track is Ginger Nichols' presentation on strategies for building membership, subtitled "Get 'Em & Keep 'Em." Ginger covers the broad strategies that every association can use to build membership.
As you review the strategies, think about the programs and activities you could use to carry out the strategies in your association.
